2. Understanding Progress Indicators

Prediction Progress

Progress Bar Interpretation

  • Progress Points:

The progress bar advances in 25% increments, with each milestone representing a price point:

    • 25% - Reaching your Pessimistic price
    • 50% - Reaching your Neutral (50/50) price
    • 75% - Reaching your Optimistic price
    • 100% - Reaching your Highly Unlikely price
  • Baseline Requirement:

Progress starts only after reaching your baseline price (0% until then). For buy predictions, the baseline must be lower than the initial price. For sell predictions, it must be higher.

  • Price Tracking Method:
    • Buy predictions: System tracks the lowest price reached during the period
    • Sell predictions: System tracks the highest price reached during the period

Important Notes About Progress:

  • • The progress bar is not a success metric - it's simply a visualization of price movement relative to your prediction points
  • • Your 50/50 price point (50% progress) represents your actual market expectation
  • • A well-balanced prediction portfolio should have roughly half of predictions below 50% progress and half above
  • • This balance indicates you're making realistic market predictions rather than consistently over-optimistic or over-pessimistic ones
